The 0.6 acres for the garden at Bayly Park was kindly provided by the Resort Municipality of Whistler in conjunction with Whistler Community Services Society. With grant money and community sponsers our garden will continue to grow.
Here's how you can help:
- sponsor the garden project.
- volunteer your time to grow the garden plots
- sign up for your 2013 garden plot
- be supportive and encouraging when you meet one of our volunteers!
Interested in a garden plot:
- we welcome gardeners of all ages and abilities
- we will offer support and resources to help you create your own Edible Eden
- Membership Fees: $75 which includes
- 4'x10' with varying heights
- 18" Raised garden bed with 16" organic soil
- Soil amendments provided
- Access to water (future irrigation)
- Instructions and guidance for start up through harvest
- Tools and wheelbarrows
- Use of garden shed
- Compost for organic garden waste
- Opportunity to volunteer your time, strength or skill
Our Edible Eden will continue to revolve through trial and error until there is a happy sustainability medium met with members, wildlife and vegetables.
